Drop-stitch technology

REVOLUTION AMONG SUP BOARDS

… or what’s the reason for BASS SUP boards being so super stable?!

Inflatable SUP boards – this is the newest and, quite possibly, most important part of several thousand years long stand-up paddling history.

WHY IS THAT?!

Due to the modern drop-stitch technology, it became possible now to produce tough and durable inflatable SUP boards, which could be easily packed into a simple backpack.

World top-producers and brands manufacture their inflatable SUP boards in accordance with this very technology to combine all pros of regular solid SUP boards and mobility of inflatable ones. We have the same story here – outstanding basic characteristics and high quality of BASS inflatable SUP boards result from using the same drop-stitch technology during production process.
Thus, main frame of our SUP board consists of two PVC layers joined together by thousands extremely durable fiberglass wires stretching from up to down. Indeed, a dense network of these wires (by the way, they are firmly attached to abovementioned PVC layers) creates and keeps initially designed shape of the SUP board after it was inflated.

Sounds too complicated?! Let’s Take a look inside…

BASS inflatable SUP boards are made from extremely durable and damage resistant PVC material, adjoined directly to the drop-stitch core of the SUP board. Also, very important part of our SUP board is additional PVC layers glued along the whole length of the board’s sides (double layer technology). Due to those additional PVC layers, BASS SUP boards become as tough and manoeuvrable after inflation as solid SUP boards, produced from composites according to conventional technology.
